Particulars of the murder of Clinton at Day Dawn show that it was a most cold-blooded affair., The victim was shot in the throat while asleep, and his head battered in. Clinton was a blacksmith. After •the murder his body was thrown into a mining shaft. Three- men named Polter, Smith, and Bloomer are under arrest charged with murder.
