Something of a disturbance t'ook-placfl in Cathedral Square to-night; resulting in tho arrest of two men — ono a seaman from tho Pyramids, for being 1 drunk whilo in chorge pf ,a - horsa and trap, and for driving- in a reckless and. dangerous manner^, and the other a civilian for inciting the crowd to resist the' police. ,. Tho, trap, containing three seamen, more br {^ss intoxicated, -hid been . careering through the city streets ' the ''early evening, and many collisions ,were\ narrowly avoided. The vehicle -was stopped by tjhc police in Cathedral Square, and the occupants ordered to get out. 'They refused. A struggle followed, ancl 4 largo crowd immediately confer,eg«ited, many siding with v the hien a ncT hooting the police. In the general' melee two of tho three men got away, but the third, was captured, together with a a yqurfg'ruan who had been taking an acti\'e part ia the hostile demonstration. The crowd followed Iho constables and the prisoners to the Police Station, hooting the police "and cheering the Navy.
