SPECIAL ORDER~IiAKING SPECIAL RATE. • NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of tho Miramar Borough Council hold on Thursday, tho 19th Day of December, - 1907, a resolution was passed that in pursuance and exercise of ihc powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," tho Miraanar Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: — "That for the purpose of providing the interest 'and other charges" on a loan of £71,000 authorised to be raised by the Miramar Borough Council under tho proviyjons of 'The Local Bodies Loans Aot, 1901,' for Providing a. Water Supply for tho Borough, Providing a System of Sewerage for the Borough, and Streot Improvement Works (construction of streets and providing shelter sheds and road roller), Ihe said " Miramar 'Borough Counoil hereby makos and levies a Speoial Rate of threepence halfpenny (3£dJ m the £ upon tho ldteablo valuation • (on the basis of tho unimproved value) of all rateable properly ot tho' Borough of Miramar, comprising that area in ,tho Wellington Land District, situated in Blbcksi VII. and XL, Port Nicholson Survey District, bounded towards tho west by the City of Wellington from Lyell Bay to Evans Bay, and thence by high water mark of Evans Bay lo Point llalewell ; thenco towaids the nortb-eait generally by high water mark of Port Nicholson to Palmer Head; thence ' towards the eouth-capt generally by the high-water mark of the sea lo Lyell Bay and thenco towards the south by highwater mark of Lyell Bay to the boundary of the City of Wellington: and that such Special Rale tliall be an annual recurring Rate during tho currency of such' loan, and be payable half-yearly cv Ihc Ist day of January and the Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 26 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."' NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of tire Miramar Borough Council held on Thursday, the 19th Day of .December, 1907, the following ' resolution was passed, namely, — > "The Council of the Borough of Miramar hereby.- makos, (by Special Order)-, the following Bylaw, -under or by virtue of 'The "Municipal Corporations Act 1900,' and the several A&s amending the same, and of all other powers .and authorities (if any), authorising" or enabling tho Council in that behalf to alter or amend and>add provisions to tho Bylaw of' the said Council meJc and pas&ad on the Ist Buy of March, 1905, and orders lhat the present Bylaw como jnt,o forci. on the Ist Day of February. 1908." , The object and purport of the proposed Bylaw (which is to apply to tho whole Borough), are: — 1.
