A rather novel idea struck by the master of tho Tikitiki native school, in order to secure the regular attendance of his pupils, is thus explained by tho Poverty Bay Herald : Formerly his committcemen wcr6 mainly residents of the adjacent kainga, and at the last election he suggested that thoy should appoint representatives from each part of the district. "Like Parliament," suggested it native, and tho proposal was taken up with child-like enthusiasm.
