Talismans had an active enquiry, and scrip was accepted at yesterday's rates of £2 13s, with £2 12s 6d paid at the close. New Alpine (6s paid) were in demand, scrip changing hands at 5s 3d and 5s 6d. Waihi Extended at 5s 3d, and Ngatiawa 'at Is 9£di, were the other lines dealt in. Buyers of Waihi declared at £8 5s without inducing sellers to come lower than- £8 Bs, which quotation has held good this week.
