In default of regular- matches, the Wednesday cncketcis indulged in a couple of scratch games yesterday after noon. A senior eleven defeated eighteen juniois by one wicket, and a hecoml senior eleven won a vietoiy over a juifior fifteen by one wicket 'also. In the first game the juniois batted first, and made 128 (Thompson 21, Fair 17, Hollis 20, Sullivan 10, Castle ]5). The seniors replied with 145 for nine wirkets (Little 49, Jackson 22, Wevbonrne 13. G. Burton 16, and F. Alpe 10). Tho junior fifteen marie 168 (M'Mahon 38, Cording 30, Turner 27, Leman 17, Ow,cn 13). The B seniors amassed a- total of 172 for nine wickets (Slater 11, Lomas 26, Wilkinson 17, (Josling 16, O'Sullivan 13, M'Kenzie not out 4L and George not out Wi.
