LATE CRICKET. - - - ■<>' THE MATCH AT BRISBANE. By Tf.'ligraph. — Kress Association. — Copyright. (Received December 7, 2.23 p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Tho Englishmen have lost throo wicket* for 75— Young 34, Humphries 1, Hayes (not out) 7, Hatchings (not out) 6. MORE TROUBLE. — —♦ THE CONDITION OF HAQLEI' PARK. fGr TELEGJIAni.— SrECIAL TO THK VOST.I CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. Ihero seems to bo a prospoct of some difficulties arising between the Domain Board, and tho Exhibition authorities in connection with tho restoration 10 its original condition of that pavt of Hagley Park used for the, lato Exhibition. At the present time the park is in a most disorderly condition, and tho Domain Board seems to fear that it ■will be allowed to remain so. Tho board has therefore, informed Mr. G. S. Munro that It intends to claim £1500 as payment for the damage done to the pdik. Speaking to a reporter yesterday, Mr. Munro said that he regarlcd such a claim as "far-fetched. In the first place.' he had not yet finished with the park. Tho buildings had only just been removed, and it would be time enough to complain about the condition of the grounds when the Domain Board had bc?n asked to resume control. In the second place, the' sum named would pay several times ever for ploughing and sowing tthe- whole of tho park, whereas the Exhibition had used only 98 acres.
