Wheat. — Tho markets are inactive with a tendency to dcc&ine, owing to tho absence of speculatiosi and clear money. Cargoes are neglected. South Australian and Victorian September shipment offered at 41s 3d ; new December-January 41s. Australian, on spot, has a better enquiry at 45s 6d to 465. New Zealand, nominal quotations, long-berried 403 -7d to 425; short-berried, 41s 6d to 435. t Fjour. — Tho market is quiet. Australian is scarce, and is hold for 30a to 30s 6d ox store. < Butter.— Quiet with market slightly oasicr. Choicest Australian, salted and unsaltoJ, 114s to 116s. New Zealand 118s. Danish unchanged. Sugar. — German beet, 9s 7d; first marks, 11s 2d per cwt. THE PRICE OF METALS. Copper.— On tho spot, £2 2s 6d lower at £60 15s per ton; three months, £2 2s 6d lower at £61 per ton. Tin.— On tho spot, £3 10s lower at £133 10s per ton. Lead. — 15s lower at £15 15s per ton. Iron.— £2 9s 4d per ton, a fall of 8d on tho week. Silvor. — 2s 2 7-16 d per 'ounce. WOOL. The Bradford wool market is flat, with moderate enquiry for merinos. Tops, common sixty, 26fd ; super 27jd. At, the London sales, tho fleece portion of Kaiwarra clip realised lO^d per lb.
