THE DUNDONALD WRECK.
NAUTICAL ENQUIRY. [BT TKLBGHArH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, «th December. The Magisterial enquiry into the wreck of the Dunrlonald was held to-day before Mr. M'Carrhy, S.M., Captains N. M'Donald (Bluff .Harbourmaster), and Silba (of the Whakatano). Evidence given by the second and third mates, and by Finlon, who was looliout man on the night- of the •wreck, disclosed nothing new. It was not known -whether the vessel or cargo was insured. The findings will be given in the ordinary way. As the result of lepresentations made by the Mayor to Mr. Waite, Curator of the Canterbury Museum, the boat made by the pundonald survivors was allowed to remain here and be exhibited this afternoon for the benefit of the survivors. Many people paid to see it, the takings amounting to £22 2b.
