PURE MILK SUPPLY.
m TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I do not know whether thesft feift lines will do much good. I fear not, aa tho apathy of the Health Department and the City Council appears to be deplorable. One occasionally roads of a poor milkman being fined for having used soap to slop a leak m his milk can, but nrver of tho milkman who never uses soap to cleanse his face and hands. A fnen-.i of mine lately informed ma that ho had changed his milkman simply because the n.an had sores all over his hands. Just .tancy ! If the Health Department and City Council have not time to examino tho men. the milk, their carts and utensils, perhaps they mighft devote a few moments to inspect -the places where, the mill; is kept after being delivered by the milkman. If they did so they would, I think, pity tho poor milkmen, who aro frequently blamed for the condition of the milk when tho blame should bo "aid at tho door of the householder who stoics the milk in a criminally insanitary manner. — 1 atri, etc., MOTHER.
