SUBURBAN TRAM SERVICE.

TO THE EDUOK. Sir. — I would like to draw your attention to the running of the trains to Kilbunic and Miramar at 5 p.m., and the difficulty others and myself experience in obtaining even standing accommodation in tho 5.1 car from Government station to the last named place. Cars leave Government Station at 4.56 p.m. and 5 p.m. for Kilbirnie and 5.1 p.m. for Miramar ; this latter is the workers' car taking passengers to the Kilbirnie Hotel for Id, South Kilbirnie l£d, and Miramar 24d. The consequence is that workers journeying to Kilbirnie take this Miramai* car, and g«t to their destination for Id or ljd, thereby not only crowding out those who wish -to go the full distance and necessitating a wait of half an hour, but making them pay the full fare. It is next to impossible some days to obtain even standing accommodation in the car at the Bank of New Zealand corner or at Winder's, while the car jußt ahead is compai actively empty. Kilbirnie woikers aio not going to wait 15 minutes in town when they can be home in that time. — I am, etc., ONE OFTEN. SHUT OUX. , Miramar. 2<lUi SeDteoiber. 1007.
