AUSTRALIAN GAME.
There was a fair number of spectators at Miraniar on Saturday afternoon to witness the third meeting between City and Wellington. City had a strong team in the field, while Wellington, owing to, minor injuries to several of their leading players, were poorly represented. Baker led the City, while Homewood had charge of the Wellington. From the bounce the City men prevailed, and though at times their opponents had the bstter of the play, yet they aeVer looked like winning, and victory rested with the City by 7 goals 14 be_hinds, to 4 goals, 4 behinds. The best players for City were :— Paul, Crome, Wilson, Robinson, Hayes, and Bowe. Westwood, Reid, Ward, Heathorri, Nathan, Reilly, and Neates, for Wellington, strove hard to avert defeat.
