The Protective .Tariff Association denounces the American-German tariff agreement as contrary to law and to the policy of protection, unfair to the American impoittr, and demoralising to the Customs, besides being an infringement of tho rights of tho Legisxatursj The tariff agreement gives America reductions totalling ono and a quarter million pounds, and Germany reductions amounting only to forty thousand pounds.
