♦ TnE NEW PRESIDENT. By TelEKiipn.— Frcss Asjocialion.--Copyriji:ht. (lleceievcd July 27, 8.30 a.m.) LO-.-iON, 26th July. The Rev. J. Scott Lidgett was elected president of tht Wcslcj-an Conference. The new presulcnt is an M.A., London. Ho was born at Lewisham in 1854, and entered the Wesloyan ministry in 1876. In 1884 he married a daughter of Dr. Davies, of Newport. Mr. Scott's publications include, "Tho Principle of the Atonement" and "Tho Fatherhood of God in Clnistian Truth and Life."
