THE WRECK OF THE SURPRISE.
[B* TBLKGBArn.— r-KEB3 ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 26th July. A Tairna message states that tho steamer Onslow vioitfd tho scene of the wreck of the Surprise again yesterday. Constable Brown and party searched the beaches, but could find no bodies. They eccured a flag, some broken lifebuoys, and the name board. Tho steamer calkd at Ohui and brought Harry Jackson, tho «010 survivor, to Tairua. Ho is still weak. As showing the fury of th-ft storm, dozens of crayfish and dead fish were thrpwn up on the beach, also tons of seaweed. The ship's dog was found lying on the I Pawanui oeach.
