Th« State Supreme Court at Albany, by a majority of four to three, decided that Perkins, formerly vice-president of the New York Life Insurance Society, is not guilty of larceny in subscribing 1 to the Republican funds from the society's resources. The court found that there was an absence of criminal intent. The grand jury, in indicting Perkins, admitted that tho offence was committed for no personal virofit, and was only in. tended to benefit policyholderb.
