MEETING OF CREDITORS.

A meeting of tho creditors of Harry Elton, painter, was held yesterday. The bankrupt, for whom Mr. Lynch (Skerrett and Wylie) appeared, Eubmjtted a statement, showing that his liabilities amounted to £408 lla 9d, tho principal creditor* being— H. Price and Co., £89 4g 6d ; Guthrie, fiowron and Co., £60 63 6d : H. Loveltt, £25; E. Meech, £25; J. Greig, £25 ; H. Cohen, £22 ; Best and Co., £21. Tho assets, consisting of stock-in-trade and book debts, are valued at £105 Os 9d." Bankrupt stated that in July, 1905, he took over the interest of his partner (Mr. Lpvott), the consideration boing £100, of which Mr. Lovett had received £75. j The business paid fcr a time, but owing to competition the profits fell off, and he tho incurred bad debts amounting: to £79.
