He hod been ailing some time, but his death 60 soon was unexpected. Thero is great excitement at Parihaka, and a big tangi is to be held NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Tohu was arrested with Towhiti on sth Novombor, 1881, and deported for somo years. He has headed a rival faction to Tewhiti's at Parihaka.
