A Wellington business man, Mr. W E. Jackson, manager for Messrs. Gordon and Gotch, who has just returned from a visit along the West Coast of the South Island, reports that the various lines of coaches from Blonhoim to Nelson, along the Coast, and overland to Christchurch have had an exceptionally busy summer season. The weather has been of record fineness, and the tourist traffic very heavy, coaches were in constant use from the West Coast side, making tho trip to connect with the railway from Christchurch, and at times there wero moro passengers than tho coaches could accommodate. Visitors from Australia and elsewhere were delighted with the scenery of the Buller Gorge and the Otira Gorge. Business genorally was reported to bo good along tho West Coast. The foundation of lifelong ill-health may be laid for young girls by failure to keep their strength And health up to normal.
