ON THE VERGE QF STARVATION. PARENTS SELLING THEIR DAUGHTERS. MILLIONS DEPENDENT ON CHARITY. [PSESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received February 2, 9 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, Ist Feb. Owing to famine and disease in Kazan, in Middle Russia, parents have sold their daughters for from six to twelve guineas each. The Shishkoff Zemstvo Relief Commission states that hundreds of thousands of people are on the verge of starvation, and two millions aro dependent on charity.
