COLONIAL AND OTHER- PRODUCE. "Wheat.-^The European markets »ro quiets-there is reaction after unusual activity. Tho American market is firm, »nd advancing. Australian cargoes, 28s 7d to 303 ; for Australian spot, nearly exhavbt : cd, there is a better demand at 31b to 32d. Thera is no New Zealand wheat offering. Flour is tjuiet abd unchanged. Butter.— There is slow trade, with pritsiSs unchanged. A barge containing 3200 boxei New South Wales and Victorian butter, chiefly former, sunk after a collision on the Thames. All tho butter was salved in a very muddy condition, and the underwriters are allowing about 10s) per cwt. Bradford Top.— There is limited basiness; 46's aro id lower at 18d ; common * 60' b, 25d ; super GO's, 26d per lb. Sugar. — German beet, 88c 1 eg., 3d lower at 83 7d ; first mark granulated, f .o.b. Hamburg, 3d lower at 10s 4d per cwt. THE METAL MARKETS. Copper.— Spof, 5s lower at £106 10s per ton Tin.— Spot, £190 ss; three months, £190 per ton. ! Lead, £19 15s per ton. WOOL AND SKIN SALES. DaJgety and Co. report :-^V7e offered a , large catalogue to a keen lot of buyers, and good prices wero realised. Only bag lots of wool were offered, whioh comprised chiefly locks and pieces. We quote as follows: —^Wool— Tho market waa a. little easier, in sympathy with tho closing rates of the January saloa in London, for meliujn and coarse cro^breds. Crossbred^, 3d to 9W; lamba, 9d to 9id; crutchinge, 5d to 6d; pieces, sid to 6d l; bellies, Hd to 8d ; locks, 4d. Skins — Prices were on a par with last sale rates. We quote: Crossbred, 9d to 9%d ; crossbred shorts, Bid tar 83d; dead and broken, 6jd to 74d; lamb*, 3d to 9Jd ; pelts, good 3s 5d to 3s lOd, green 8s 6d;« lambs, green 3s 10d{ saked pelts, 5a sd ; salted lambs' pelts, Is 9d. Hides— We offered some nice lines of primo quality, and quote as follows: — Prime 01 65 to 75 lb, 6id to 6J<l ; medium, 60 to 65 lb, 6-id to 6|d ; light, 50 to 59 lb, 6M4 cows, medium, 46 to 57 lb, 64d to Wd; light, 5Jd to 6d ; calf, 64d to 6id. Tallow (ifl shipping ordor), £26 15s per ton ; in tins, 20s 3d per cwt. Murray, Roberts and Co. report: — Wo offered a catalogue of about 2000 skins and 200 hides. Prices were firm all round at last saje's prices, excepting for inferior pelted skins, which snowed a tendency to case slightly. Hides catalogued Were mostly in good condition, and realised prices about on a par with late rates. Wd quote as follows: — Sheepskins — Crossbred, medium to fine, 9Jd to 9|d per lb : crossbred, coarse, Bjd to 9id per lb; lambs, 9d to Bid per lb; crossbred, damaged pelted, 7?d to 8i per jji ; short wools, 7£d to Bid per lb ; dead and hoggets, 7d "To 7jd per lb. Hide? — Heavy primo ox, none offering ; medium ox, bid to 6£d per lb ; light ox, s&d to 6d per lb ; primo cows, 6d to 6id per lb; medium cows, sjd to 6d per lb; damaged and inferior, 4d to sid per lb. Tallow— Tins, to 20s per cwt; casks, to 26s 6d per cwt. Levin and Co. report:— We offered Ji quantity of wool, 2800 skins, 500 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool. — Only fadgca md bag wool were 1 offeftfd. Prices were somewhat easier. We quote : — Coarse crossbred, in bags and fadges, 9d to 9Jd ; rough and inferior, 8d to 9d ; pieces and bellies, 6d to 6id ; locks, 3jd to 4£d. Skins. — Market was hardly up to last lale rates and prices may be quoted at id lower. Merinos, 7id to B£d : fine crossbreds, 9d to 9Jd ; coarse crossbrcdsi B}d to did : dead slusb, 6}d to 7jd ; dead hoggets, 6Jd to 7|d ; dry pelts, 7d to B|d ; lamb skins, 8d to 9Jd ; green lamb skinsi 3s to 3s Sd ; green pelts, 3s to 3s 6d ; lamb pelt, Is 6d to Is 9d. Tallow.— Parcels in shipping order, £25 ss ; tins, £17 to £21; rough fat, £15. Horsehtir.— Is -to Is 6d per lb. Horns.— l3s to 16s 3d per 100. Hides. — There was a large entry of good hide* ar.d a full attendance of buyer*, who cleared all lots at full rates. Ox hides, extra heavy, 6id to 6|d ; ox hides, 701 b and over, 6id to 6Jd ; ox hides. 501 b to 701 b, 61d to 6id ; cow hide 3, sjd to 6id : calf skins, best, 6Jd lo 7Ad ; calf skin 3, slippy, 3d to 4a; calf skins, cut, 5d to s|q; cut and slippy hides. 5d to 6d ; stasj hides, 4d td 4Ad ; bull hides, 3id td 4Jd.
