NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Karori Borough Council held at the Borough Council Offices on tho Bth day of January, 1907, it was resolved: — In pursuance and exercise of the powers invested in it in that behalf by "Tho Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," tho Council of the Borough of Karori hereby resolves as follows :—: — That for tho purposo of providing the interest and other charges on a Loan of £17,000 authorised to bo 'raised by the Karori Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completion of tho widening and re-grading of the Main Karori ' Road from the City of Wellington to tho foot of Makara Hill, and tho completion of tho construction of tho Tramway from the tprminus of tho Tramway system of the City of Wellington at the Botanical Gardens. Gate, Tinakori-road, to the Cemetery Gates at Karori, tho said Karori Borough Council hereby makes and levies (by Special Order) a Special Rato of Eleven-sixteenths (11-lfkhe) of a Penny in tho Pound upon tho rateable value (on the basis of tho unimproved value) of all rateable property in tho Borough of Karori, the boundaries of which are set forth in *-<tho schedulo to tho said resolution, and that such Rate shall bo an annual-recur-ring Rato during tho currency of such Loan, and be payable half-yearly on tho first day of Juno and tho first day of December in ouch" and every year during tho currency of such Loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until tho Loan is fully paid off.
