HONOURS IN DOMESTICITY.

TO THE EDITOB Sir, — Your sub-leader apropos of the above oppps up a large question, and is pcrvot'a^ve of much argument. May I suggest that any prizes or rewards to be given by University or Education Boards shall be offered to mothers of the present ppeneeation of girls, who can prove thai they have brought up and trained their children in a thorough course of cooking and domestic duties generally. The adjudication of the prizes or rewards should bo on the work done by the girls of any one family at a place appointed or on a dale specified. This suggestion is terse, but I think to the point, and whether carried oat or not should give tho present-day mothers a fund of thought $4 to whether they are doing their duty towards themselves and children.— l, am. etc.. PATER FAMILIAS. W«Uipgt<)n 31et January, 19Q7.
