During the past week the minds of Auckland Electric Tramway employees have been considerably exercised Over the dismissal of two conductors, and strong opinions have been expressed. It was decided to convene meetings of employees, and these wero held to-day. The men at first were determined not to let the matter pass unnoticed, and were in favour almost to a man of going out on strike either to-morrow or on Saturday. Wiser counsels, however, prevailed, and the following resolutions were passed :— (1) That this meeting respectfully asks tie company to hold further enquiries into the dismissal of the two conductors named, as the unanimous opinion of the men is that they axe not guilty of the conduct which led to their dismissal; (2) that an answer be respectfully requested by Monday morning next, at 10 o'clock, failing which the Trades., and Labour Council will be asked to take the matter up.
