Arrangements have been made by the Union Company for a special excursion trip from Wellington to Lvttclton and back by the llanuoa. The vessel will leave Wellington to-morrow week and after giving excuisionists a day in Christchuroh, will leave on Saturday night on the return trip to Wellington. The Union Company's steamer Moura, winch has been laid up in the stream for some weeks, diagged her anchors jesterday evening, and went within an ace of colliding with tho big steamer Kaikoura, which is also m the stream. The Harbour Boaid'e dredge Whakarin appealed on the scene, in response to signals from tho Kaikoura, and with some difficulty towed the Mom a away from her dangerous position. The Duco gave assistance, and the Moura was berthed at the Glasgow Wharf at midnight. The only damage the vessel sustained was a seveie bump on the lip plate of the starboard bow. THE DKAYTON GRANGE. The New Zealand and African steamer Drayton Grange, which left Southampton on the 11th September for New Zealand ports via Durban, continued her voyage from Durban on the Ist November. The vessel is due at Auckland, her first poit of call m New Zealand, on the 26th November, and should arrive here about the 2nd December. She is bringing 115 passengers for New Zealand. The Union Company advise that the Arahura and the Wuinui were outside the Westport bar thus morning. Tho vessels will probably get into the port this afternoon. The steamer Rippingham Grange, which is expected to sad for Lyttelton and Dnnedin to-day, is to proceed' to Australia on completing her di3chaige. In consequence of tho loss of the Hnvershom Grange, the Rippingham Grange lias been set down to take hpr run. loa-iing in Australia for London and Liverpool via Durban and Capetown. The Union Company advise that the Apaiima ainved at Calcutta on the sth Kcnembei. Only one horse died on the voyage fiom New Zealand. The Pohema, due on Sunday, is dropping tho usual call at Lyttelton this week on account of the holida>. The Shaw-Savill steamer Delphic, now at Auckland, is expected to reach Wellington about Monday nest. Tlio Rakaia, of tho New Zealand Shipping Company.} fleet, is expected to arrive ut Wellington on Monday next. Advice received by the Cnion Company states that it is hoped to despatch the Arahum from Westport at midnight. She should leave Nelson for Wellington at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Whakatane, of the New Zealand Shipping Companj'a fleet, left London yesterday for Auckland and Wellington. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the -steamer Rimutaka -itrived at Plymouth j'ejterday from Wellington.
