FUNERAL OF MR. SEDDON.
♦ Great credit is duo to Golonel Collins, !who marshalled the funeral procession, and hie assistants, Messrs. James Moore, J. R. 'Smith, A. 0. Gibbs, R. Evitt, F. B. Mabin; J,, M, King, John Murray, «nd J. Holmes. During the last few days, while the arrangements for the funeral were in hand, Colonel Collins has had a very difficult and trying task, and be- emerged from it with every credit. The press representatives are under obligations to him for. furnishing information and faculties for expeditiously carrying out their work. The police, under Inspector -Ellison and Sub-Inspector O'Donovan, are also deserving of praise for the manner, in which they controlled the hu«e crowd. Similarly the volunteers ana the school cadets are to be congratulated on the part they played in maintaining a clear passage along the route \ for the cortege. The excellent marching of the firing party from the Artillery was- & subject of general comment amongst the public. x The Shipmasters' Association was represented by eight of its members and Mr. J. W. Williams (secretary).
