Taupo. and lUglon; strong irom between north and west and aouth-we«t thenco southward to Sew Plymouth and Napier; stroDg to gale from same direction elsewhere. Barometer.*— Fall everywhere. Sea. — Heavy on western count south of Hew Plymouth and on eastern ooast between Outlepoint and Kaikoiira. Moderate elsewhere. Tides. — High on. western coast south of New Plymouth; good thence northward, and at Cape Campbell; also on both coasts of South Island; moderate all other port*. Rain ia probable a* most places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. Warning •igu«l for northerly gale is exhibited at Oapes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit, and Xugget Point. SYNOPSIS OF LABT 2» HOCES. Very little movement of barometer northward of Eaikoura and Hokitika, but it ha* risen Blowlv from thence southward. Moderate to strong winds, principally from the westward, have been prevalent. Rain has (alien on the.
