A letter was lead from the Secretary of the Department of Trade mid Customs at a meeting of the council uf the Auckland Chamber,, of Commerce stating, in reply to a letter from tho <ounc'il. that the Government had not announced any intention of revising the present tariff during the coining session of Parliament.
