WELLINGTON CITY RECLAMATION AND EMPOWERING. ffIHE WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL JL "propose to introduce into the General Assembly at its next session a Bill to effect tho following objects: — 1. To authorise the Corporation to lease parts of tho Te Aro Reclamation for bona fido purposes of boating and yachting. 2. To authorise the Corporation to take the subsoil of portions pf tho Town Belt for tunqcls. 3. To exclude foot passengers from tun nels and approaches thereto and from cuttings. .... 4- To vest tho Kilbirnio Reserve in the ! Corporation for a Recreation Reserve and tv release the present trustees from thoir > trust on their accounting to the Corporation. 5. To authorise the Corporation, within seven years and subject to certain conditions, to reclaim lands at Ev<\ns Bay and, subject to foreshore rights of the Harbour Board, to vest the tamo in tho Corporation for defined purposes, and to authorise the acquisition of private lands adjoining thereto. 6. To authorise tho widening of Sea-toun-road and the construction of a now street on. tho foreshore of the Evans Bay Reclamation. 7. Tp authorise the leasing of part of the land reclaimed at Evans Bay and define the purposes to which tho rents may be applied. 8. To authorise the borrowing by Special Order of the moneys necessary -for the proposed reolnmation. 9. To provide that the Aot shall be a, Speoial Apt within the meaning of ''The Harbours Aot, 1878," and "Tho Publio Wwks Aot, 1805." Copies of thia Bill and pjans of the land affected thereby are deposited at the Stipendiary Magwtrato's Courthouse and at -the Town Hall, both in the City pr Wellington, and are there open for inspection.
