There were eighty-four investors on the winning "double" — Cross 1 Battery and Boomerang — which j)£U(l a dividend of £16 8s 6d. The finest conte&fc was that between Adhilles and Porcelain in the Challenge Stakes. The North Island crack won a great race by a head. The lime registered is a record for tho race. In the Great Autumn Handicap Boomerang established a record for that race. Results : — Fourteenth Challenge Stakes, of 500 soys; w.f.a. Seven furlongs. 236 Mr. J.
