Wind. — Moderate to strong from the eastward, changing toward north at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, ami Manukau, and from the westward elsewhere. Heavy gale from the northward is probable generally about the. 20th mat. Barometer.— Rise slowly everywhere; probably be unusually low in southern districts on the 21st inst. Sea. — Moderate on both coaets. Tides,— Moderate on all western coast and on «ast coast northward of East Cape ; poor thence to Napier; good thence southward. SYNpPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Slowly risiiijf barometer everywhere, with moderate westerly winds southward of Napier and Sew Plymouth, and moderate northerly winds elsewhere. Rain has fallen at moat places southward of Napier and Kaglan, and thero has been a hard frost during tho night at Jiugget I'omt. Wednesday, 16t"h April, 1905.
