OAMARU, April. There was glorious weather for thu continuation of the bowling tournament, the day being more like midsummer than advanced autumn. None of the several events were finished, and it will be tomorrow afternoon before the meeting i« brought to a conclusion. Those remaining in are as follows:—Citizens prize -j Gillies, 'Mackie, and Thomson. Meadowbank prize: Wedderspoon and Rennie. Phoenix prize: Scott, Saunders, and Sneddon. Association prize: Gibb, Waddell, Lefeori, Mackie, and W. A. Scott. Last try: Payne, M'Dougall, and Mollison. HAWERA, 15th April. Tho Taranaki bowlinp- tournament wa«, a splendid success. The teams taking part were Opunake and Pihania (coiubined), .Manaia, Eltham, Stratford, New Plymouth, Fitzroy, and Hawera. Three, teams (New Plymouth) Fitzroy, and Hawera) went through with five wins and one loss each. In the play-off New Plymouth won the shield. The tournament is to be an annual affair. NELSON, 16th April. In the bowling matches to-day, Nelson • beat Newtowi/ (86^—40), and Wellington beat Blenheim (58—48) in three-rink matches. In ten-rink matches Visitors v. Nelson clubs, Wellington provided four rmks, Newtown three and Blenheim three. This match was won by visitors by five points, 195—190.
