REPORTED BOATING ACCIDENT. [BY TELEGRAPH - PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
BLENHEIM, 29th December. A boating fatality occurred at Wai- ' kawa, near Picton, to-day, in which | either three or four Maori girla were • drowned. ' | The first report stated that the number was four; a aecond said it was three. ' This Day. The reports as to ,the boating incident otf the Waikawa pah, some miles from Picton, are conflicting. The luinour that three young Maoris were drowned was repeated to-day, but later information is that though the boat was j capsized by a gust of wind, "all the occupants were saved.
