The annual New Zealand wheel race meeting was held this afternoon at Lancaster Park in beautiful weather. Several thousand spectators were present. Bandrup, scr., 3. Time, 59 2-ssec. Rndge-Whitworth Cup Handicap, two j miles.— H. Bowley, 80yds, 1; A. K. Falconer, scr., 2; A. H. Eagg, 40yds, 3. Time, 51^sec. New Zealand Wheel Race, of 50 soys; two mile 3. — M. Randrup, scr., 1; R. Rodgers, 180 yds, 2; A. Bonis, 200 yds, 3. Time, 4min 23 l-3sec. The back division caught the field before the last lap was reached. 'Randrup, who was lying in a handy position throughout, made a fast I sprint, and won by a length. |
