Wind. Strong to gala from between north : east and mirth t.nd west at all places northward of Nupier, Taupo, and Raglan, nnd from between north-cist nnd east and south everywhere olse. Barometer.— Fall everywhere. Sea.— Heavy on- eastern coast northward of East Cant and southward of Custlepoint, and on western ecast between Raglan and Cape Egmont and Weatport and tape Farewell ; moderate elsewhere. . Tide6.— High on east coast north of East Cape and southward of Custlepoint, and on western coast between Raglan nnd Cape Egmont ; also Cape Farewell, Nelson, and Westport ; moderate iill other ports. Rum is probable generally. Warning signal for easterly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Capes Farewell, Foulwind, and Nugget Point, and will be shown aS.er sunrise at Cape Campbell. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Slowly falling barometer' northward of East Cipe, Taupo, and Raglan, but it has risen slowly everywhere else.
