THE LAND SCANDAL. FEES FOR LEASES.
[TOEBS ASSOCIATION.] SYDNEY, 6th Septomber. At the sitting "of the Lands Commission to-day, a witness named Fisher gave evidence in connection .with the refund of £500 fees for a 'ease whioh Willis failed to secure for him. Willis told him Mr. Crick had said Fisher would get the lease, adding : "And he has got the money." Witness further stated that' Peter Closo, whom he also employed in thb matter, said to him : "If you don't get the lease, Mr. Crick will have to give mo your money back."
