Other descriptions aro at par to 3d higher. Still buyers show little or no. disposition to operate for forward delivery on tho basis of recent offers." Dated 24th inst. : — Frozen beef— Prices are somewhat firmer. Frozen mutton— Any change in price ia in favour of buyers. New Zealand frozen lamb (light weights) : Since our last telegram prices aro lower by id per lb; other descriptions are lower by id per lb."

Tides.— Good on eastern coast from East Cape southward. frost is probable on all high country, and very cold night generally. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS Slowly rising barometer northward of Napier and Wanganui, but there has been little movement everywhere else.
