PARIS, i4tti August. A train frightened the liorses attached to a carriage in which was seated Baron Pawelrnmmingen, husband of Princess Frederick of Hanover. The Baron waa thrown from his carriage | and severely injured, his foku'.l beiug fractured.

RAILWAY COLLISION . NEW YORK, 13th August.

Passenger und freight trains on the New York-Chicago railway collided between Larnm and Vermillion. Twelve persons were killed and twenty-five injured. A SWIMMING RECORD.
