THE OHIRO HOME. INSPECTION BY THIS TRUSTEES.

The Trustees of tho Benevolent Instition paid their quarterly visit of inspection to tho Hmievolent Homo, Ohiroioad, yesterday aftornoon. The' building nnd grounds presented a vory neat and attractive) appearance. Tins grounds, which aro approached by a wido gravelled drivo, aro well laid out, part being devoted to flower gardens and well-kept lawns, and the remainder to a kitchen garden, in which various kinds of vegetables are making a highly satisfactory display. Evans said that on every visit ho had paid to tho Homo since tho nrcsont Master and Matron took charge, ho had found not lung but cleanliness and order, and tho comfort of tho old peoplo seen to as fnr as possible. Mr. Hogg added that many of tho inmates wero old Wairarapa residents whom ho had known for many years, and privately they nnd expressed to him that, day their ontiro satisfaction with the way in which they had been attondcd to and provided for in tho Home. The motion was carried unanimously. Tho Chairman (Mr. D. Robertson) said tho architect (Mr. P. Ponty) was in nttendnnco to blind over the building to the Trustees. They bad had a good look at it, and ho ventured to say, on their behalf, that thoy wero really woll satisfied with tho way in which tho work had been carried out. Mr. Hogg said as far as ho could sco tho new building must give entire satisfaction to ovory ono wlio could appreciate a substantial, comfortable, place. Tho wards wero lofty, and tho architect, ho was sure, had made ovory provision for giving thorn, not only a homo for tho old men and women, but a sanatorium. Tho Oliairinan added that tho Master deserved prniso for the way tho grounds arc laid out. Tho meeting then terminated.
