At a .sitting, of the Land Cuinmitssion today, tenants from tho lieMumont Kettlemcnl unine forward, and complained that the rent they wore paying was too high. Toomiuch, they said, was paid for tho csUite in tho first instance, nnd settlers had been •disappointed with it. Tho rent ought to he reduced by one-half. William D.irl«y nnicl the rent charged in tho Otahu Settlement was too h-jh, and some tenants wero leaving. Anotltor tenant on tho estate said tho Government paid 25s per aero for the hmd, when it was woith no more than •12a 6d.
