LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Hon. J. Rigg gave notice to ask when the Attorney-General intended to present a respectful address to the Governor praying him to forward to the Secre- j tary of State for the Colonies the resolu-. tion carried by the Council on 13th September respecting the introduction of Asiatic labour into the Transvaal. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The House met -at 11 a.m. NEW BILLS. The Kawhia and Awakino Counties Act 1903 Amendment Bill (Sir J. G. Ward) was read a first time. A Lands for Settlement Act Amendment Bill was introduced by Governor's Message and read a first time. (Left sitting).
