Weather.— B, blue sky, be the atmosphere dear or heavy; C, clouds, passing clouds; U, drizzlipg rain; F, foggy; G, gloomy, dark weather; H, hail; L, lightning; M, misty O, overcast, the whole sky covered with tuicK clouds: P. passing showeri; Q, squally ; «, niln, continued ram; S, snow; T, thunder; U, ugly, threatening appearance. WEVTHER FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 9 a.m 10-DAY. Wind.— Moderate to strong from the westward at all places northaraido of Napier and New Plymouth. Strong to gale after fiom 12 to JU hours from between noith-east and north and west thence «outhward to Dunedin and Queenstown, and from between north and ne3t and south-west elsewhere , Barometer.— Further rise all places northward of Napier nnd New Plymouth. Fall soon all other places. Sea. Heavy on all western coast noithward of Cape Farewell and at Cape Campbell. Considerable on western coast of Swtith Island and off shore from Cape Campbell southward. Moderate northward of Castlepoint. Tides.— High on western coast of North Island and at Cape Campbell. Good on both Roasts of South Island. Moderate all other port*,
Rain is probable southward of Napier and New Plymouth after from 12 to 20 hours. Warning signsris for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Northward of Napier and New Plymouth the baiometer has continued rising slowly, but has made httle movement elsewhere.
