NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Wellington held on the 22nd day of September, 1904, ifc was resolved: — That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," the Wellington City Council hereby resolves ac follows: — That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £77,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mention od Act for the construction of Electrio Tramways to and in the Melroae Ward of the City of Wellington, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies by Special Order a Special Rate of One Penny Halfpenny (l£d) in the £ upon the ratable valuo upon all ratablo property of the Melrose Ward of the City of Wellington, the boundaries of which are set forth in the Schedule of ' the said Resolution ; and that such Special Rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable halfyearly on the Ist day pf September and the Ist day of March in each and every year during the ourrenoy of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years from tho Ist day of September, 1904, or until the loan is fully paid off.
