In the first cose the Dairy Inspootor said ho isitod tho shop of tho dofondnnt and procured a sample oi milk for analysis, which was submitted to Professor Black. Counsel for the defence submitted tho case must bo dismissed, as the Act provided for milk bomg sold for hatnan consumption. Tho Magistrate agreed, nnd tho case was dis ■ missed with professional costs. On the application of the T InspncW tho case was stated for appeal, a conviction having been oH-Mr.ad in a case in Christ^hrrch. Sixteen other cas**, wet« also damisfid, with pratauotail coats.
