1 ' • NEW SOUTH WALES FINANCES. (TRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Receivod August 26, 9.41 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. During tho past three years old-age pensions necessitated the payment of £1,539,000. The public debt, as shown by the Auditor-General's report, stands nt £82,540,000. It was increased last yonr by £1,518,000. The Premier, Mr. Waddoll, replying to a question in tho Legislative Assembly, said that the New Zealand Government had declined to enter into any scheme providing for reciprocity m regard to oldage pensions, bub an understanding had been tvrrived at with Victoria.
