A HOSPITAL TROUBLE.
DOCTOR ASKED TO RESIGN. [BY TKLEQRArn — I'RKSS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, 25th August. ' The Hospital Bo*id yesterday reprimanded Dr. Crooke, and asked Dr. LiveBoy to resign on account of neglect of a case. The papers to-doy publish a statement of the parents of tho child alleged to have b«*n neglected. They aver that on Saturday, August 13th, their four yew-old child fell, injuring its ami. It was taken to the Hospital by the mother, who was told by Dr. Livcsey to take the child to the childron's ward. Dr. Crookc gave similar instructions. After the mother had waited two bourn Dr. Livosoy oxajninod the child'w arm and lajd chloroform Avo*ild bo necessary, but It could not bo administered until after Hie return of Dr. Crooko, who hnd gono out. Two iiouvs later tho child \r»s still piuttendcd, and the father took it away. In the meantime the arm had swollen, »nd since that time nothing has been don* owing to the stato of the arm. The doctors have not made a statement
