Nine hundicd bodies have been recovered from tho fcteamer General Slocum, which caught fire at Hell Gate while cm lying excursionists. Tho bodies of a, hundred victims are still missing. USE OF GUNPOWDER. (Received June 25, 9.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, 24th June. A gunpowder explosion in the vicinity of the wreck of the General Slocum brought many bodies to the surfneb.
