ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND DROWNKD. This morning "about 7.45, Mr. George Smith, nightwatchman for tho Union Company, noticed the body of ti mnn flouting in tho haibour off' the Queen's Wharf. Ho informed the police, and subsequently assisted Constable Wilson and v whart labourer to recover the body A perusal of dt'ce.tscd's dischai go-book showed (hat he was a iiieman named William M'Kenzie, 38 years of age, who had worked on ocean boats in diU'ercnt parts of tho world, and latterly on the Union Company's collier Pohcnia, fiom which ho obtained a discharge last March. .Since then he i.s said to have worked about tho wharf. Tho body is very much decomposed, and uppwns to have been in the water eight or nine days. Mr. James Ashcroft, Distiicl Coroner, has* been informed of the case, and ho has decided to hold an inquest at the Morgue at 2 o'clock tliis afteriioott.
