ATTACK ON A~RUSSIAN CAMP. (Received May 31, 10.10 a.m.) j LONDON, 30th May. I Japanese infantry attacked a Russian camp near Kwantien, compelling 3500 to retire west towards Liaovang.
The Japanese have reached Samaki, northward of Fenghwangcheng. Tho Telegraph Department has been advised by Uio Pacific Cable Board that telegrams for Vladivostock, Manchuria, and Kwantung Peninsula, including Port Aithur, can now only be accepted at senders' risk, and must be routed via Suez and Khabarovsk. Tho tariff is 3s 5d per word.
