WHITAKER WRIGHT'S DEATH.
CAUSED BiT CYANIDE POISONING. flttliSS ASSOCIATION'/! LONDON, 28th January. A post-moitcni examination bhon-ed that Whitaker Wrighl (who «aa sentenced to .seven years' imprisonment on charges of fraud in connection with tho London and Globe Finance Corporation, and died shortly after sentence was pronounced) died from cyanide poisoning. Whilo Mr. Justice Bingham was sentencing him, Wright was observed to keep one hand in a pocket, where subsequently a phial was found containing oiip.siile.s of this pvison. After his innocence, Wright was seen to bnibh his mouth with a handkerchief. It is believed ho thei> swallowed tlio capsules. A loaded revolver, full-cocked, was' found in deceased's hip-pockot. He told a friond that ho was uetei mined never to serve a single day of his sentence, if convicted. VERDICT OF SUICIDE. (Received January 29, 8.12 a.m.) LONDON, 28tb January At the inquest on the body of Whi taker Wright a verdict of suicide was returned. From the evidence it is supposed that deceased took prusMio acid while in tho lavatory. Ho afterwards lulkoil to his friends, and attempted to light a cigur, when he suddenly expired.
